GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

Week of October 2nd-6th

Please remember, as previously messaged, there will be NO SCHOOL MONDAY, OCTOBER 2nd.  Our staff will be traveling to NB to show love and support for Miss Bannister.  School will resume the normal schedule on Tuesday.  Any milk orders that were sent for Monday will be credited to the following week.

As we enter the month of October, we will be participating in our annual World Vision Penny Drive.  All this week, we will be collecting pennies and other change (and bills!) to raise money for this amazing organization.  We always look forward to our visit from the World Vision Representative, who shares with us personal stories of where this money goes and how it makes a difference.  Thank you for encouraging your children to participate in this.

Students did an amazing job on their Bible memory verses this past week! I was so impressed at how well they recited them, with expression and articulation.  Keep up the good work at home! Next week, we will have our first Bible test, covering our entire overview of the Bible.  Students will be expected to know the books of the Bible in order and be able to recite them or fill in the blanks.  The children have all the information in their Bible notebooks, and anything that is highlighted will be required to know.  We have been reviewing these since the beginning of the year, and they have a song that they can practise with.  Please make an effort to begin reviewing this in preparation for next week’s test.  We will not have a new Bible memory verse until after this test is completed.

In spite of the shorter week, we will have a spelling test on Friday, October 6th covering all of the words from List 4.  If you would like to get a head start on the list, I have posted them here for your convenience.  List 4

God Bless,

Mrs. D.
