I am super proud of my students for how well they mingled with the seniors yesterday. They showed lots of love and kindness and I know their visit was appreciated. A big thank you to the parents who drove and made it possible for us to go. 🙂
Remembrance Day Service
You are all welcome to join us for tomorrow’s Remembrance Day Service in the church sanctuary at 2:00 in the afternoon. Since the grade 3/4 class is participating in this year’s service by reciting “Flanders Field”, students are asked to dress up. Girls are asked to please wear a skirt or a dress; boys are asked to wear a button-up shirt.
Remembrance Day Activities
Also tomorrow, students will participate in learning centers hosted by high school students from Mr. Allain’s history classes. We look forward to learning more about the history of war, the sacrifices made for freedom, and why we should never forget the past.
As many students were not prepared for the French test today, they will be taking another test next week on Tuesday, November 15th to see if they can improve. The test will once again be on the meanings and spellings of verbs avoir and etre.
Operation Christmas Child
Just a friendly reminder that Operation Christmas Child boxes are due on Monday, November 14th.
Parent-teacher interviews are scheduled for next week on Thursday, November 17, from 6:00-9:00 PM and on Friday, November 18, from 10:00-12:00 AM. Sign-up sheets are located in the front entrance of the school so be sure to sign up for a time to come meet with me and discuss your child’s progress.
That’s all for now!
