GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

Zooming through June – Week 37 at GCS

on June 7, 2016

We’re racing on toward the end!

Congratulations Are in Order!

Congratulations to Jayden on winning the drawing competition for Waters Cool! Jayden’s drawing will be featured in a calendar which will be distributed to residents of Stratford.

Also, a big congratulations to one of our own staff, Mrs. MacNeill, as she was chosen as 1 of 85 teachers to represent Canadian educators at the Teacher’s Institute on Parliamentary Democracy this fall, in Ottawa. Way to go, Mrs. MacNeill!

Library Book Hunt

We’re on the search for any missing library books! Please ensure that they are returned as soon as possible so that Mrs. Biech can close up library for the year.

Track and Field, Rain or Shine

It looks like we’re in for some rain this Wednesday. However, the ACSI Track Meet will take place regardless. Please add a towel and a change of clothing to your child’s backpack, just in case.

Year-end Trip to Emmanuel Bible Camp

Next Monday, June 13th, students in grade 3-6 will be travelling by bus to Emmanuel Bible Camp for their year-end trip. We will enjoy a variety of camp activities such as pellet range, archery, rock wall climbing, swimming, sports, crafts, canoeing, and camp-wide games. Students should pack a lunch that does not need to be heated. Also, they should come prepared with bug spray, sunscreen, a hat, layered clothing (in case it becomes cold), swim wear, and sneakers. The bus will be leaving at 9:00, so please be at school on time.

Permission forms will be sent home tomorrow.

Farewell Steven and Nick!

This coming Friday, we will say good-bye to two lively boys as they move to Vancouver, BC. We’ll miss you, Steven and Nick!

But Wait, There’s More… Last Bible Verse

We have one more add-on verse to tackle before the end of the year. It’s actually our theme verse for this year and is due on Wednesday, June 15th.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
