GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

Terry Fox, School Lunch Program, Theme Song, and More

on September 16, 2014

As anticipated, here are a few more items that need to be covered post-staff meeting:

Terry Fox Run

All students will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Wednesday, September 24th during the afternoon. This event honors the efforts of Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope to raise cancer awareness and funds for cancer research. The run will be followed by a picture of all the students of GCS taken from the rooftop. Students must have their parent commission forms signed to be involved in the picture.

School Lunch Program

Because of our excellent volunteers, we are extremely pleased this year to have a School Lunch Program. Students will be able to order food selections from Papa John’s Pizza some weeks and Subway other weeks for their lunch on Thursday. Also, every second Friday Mrs. Barrett will be selling hot dogs to raise funds for former GCS teacher Miss Farrer who now works at a school in Niger. Food order forms and payment will always be due on Wednesday. More specific information will follow when the schedule for ordering is finalized.

Getting Decked Out – GCS Clothing Order

Order forms for GCS apparel will be sent home tomorrow. Take a look; there may be something that interests you!

Theme Song

Our school theme this year is “Be Transformed!”. We are looking forward to a year of finding out how God can change our lives and the lives of others around us. Below is a link to our theme song “Happy Day!” if you and your child would like to listen to it at home.
