The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

This Week – March 24-28

on March 24, 2014

I hope you all had a wonderful time over March Break! From the sound of the journals the kids read aloud today, they certainly did!

Grade Three Book Reports

Grade three students began reading Secret of the Maple Tree by Mathilda Nordtvedt today in class, We will be reading this novel together in class, with the occasional chapter being read for homework. Students will be expected to write a sentence describing the main action of each chapter on a sticky note. This should make it easier to write a summary once we complete the novel. There will be more information sent home on the format for the book report soon.

In celebration of reaching a whooping 1,000 stars for good behavior, we will be having a Pizza Party this Friday, with pop and a slew of fun math games.

Pictures

My, oh my! As you can see below, the costumes for Winter Carnival were very well put together and so much fun to wear! Thank you to all parents who helped their children get dressed up. I realize it can be a very time-consuming endeavor! Everyone had a blast and I am happy to share the wonderful and hilarious photos from the past couple of weeks at school, including those from skating, skiing, and 100 days of school.
