GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

A Look at the Week Ahead – Dec. 2-6

on December 2, 2013

December has finally arrived and we’re looking forward to having action-packed and fun-filled weeks before the Christmas break!

Dates to Remember

December 13 – Christmas Concert – A matinee performance will take place at 1:30 in the afternoon and an evening performance at 6:30. We ask that students be in their classrooms by 6:00 to get costumes on and settled before the show.

December 16 – Packing Salvation Army Hampers – We will be travelling to the Salvation Army for the morning to help pack food hampers for families in need. This is a great opportunity to emphasize generosity and thankfulness, especially at the time of year when we celebrate the coming of God’s gift to us! Permission forms will go home soon. Drivers will be needed for this Christmas Outreach Project.

December 20 – Last Day Singing and Party at the Able’s – The last day is a HALF DAY and we will be going to sing carols at a senior’s residence and then to the Able’s home for a Christmas party.

The Rumor Is True!

You may have heard this just after I broke the news to the class, but I decided I’d confirm all the buzz officially. As of November 17, I am now engaged to be married! (I couldn’t resist the urge to tell more people 🙂 ) The class’s reaction was a very funny mixture of shock, excitement, and confusion, as you can see below.

Book Buddies

Also check out these photos from our very first day paired with Grade 1/2 for Book Buddies. It was a nicely relaxing, literacy-filled time in both classrooms. We will continue having Book Buddies every second Wednesday afternoon.

How Lovely Is This?

Lastly, here is a picture that warms the cockles of my heart. Thank you to the Able kids who definitely know how to make their teachers feel the love!
