The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

A Look at the Week Ahead – Nov. 18-22

on November 18, 2013

Well, it looks like this week will be a full one!

Watch Out for Kids!

I’ve neglected to mention this on the blog until now, but we almost had an incident in which a child was hit by a car in the parking lot two weeks ago. I just want to send out a reminder to watch out for little ones in the parking lot, especially at the end of the day when they are being picked up. Also, make sure your children know not to run in front of parked vehicles as they are sometimes preparing to move.

Operation Christmas Child

We’re looking forward to praying over the boxes for Operation Christmas Child this Wednesday in chapel. I encourage each of you to get the boxes in by then. Thanks to a generous donor, the $7.00 shipping fee has been covered so you do not have to pay. 🙂

Pancake Breakfast Tickets

Tickets to Saturday’s pancake breakfast and silent auction were sent home last week. If you sell any, please send to money into the school via agenda. If not, then please send the tickets back so that we can get a sense of how many people will be attending.

Christmas Concert

Every child has a spoken part in this year’s concert which went home in the agenda some time ago. It’s important that they memorize their part and do their best on stage.  Also, I have included the YouTube links to this year’s choir songs below. Students can listen to and even practice these lovely songs at home.

Creative Choices for Grade 4 Book Reports

The good copy for the book report should be passed in by Friday at the very latest. Also, students are expected to complete a creative project for display for next Monday. Students have the option of creating a poster, a diorama (or shoebox scene), or a comic strip. More information was sent home in the agenda. I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

For those of you wanting more time to have your child go over spelling, new word lists for the following week will be posted in the file bucket on the My School Management website on Friday afternoon.
