GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

A Look at the Week Ahead – Sept. 16-20

on September 15, 2013

Hello parents!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Another school week is about to begin and I am rearing to go. 🙂

Here is some pertinent information for you:

This week we will be starting spelling. As with Mrs. Barton’s grade 1 and 2 class, we will be incorporating different activities to help your child study his or her spelling words in unique and exciting ways. However, for this to work, we need your help! In your child’s agenda on Monday will be the spelling word list and a square containing nine different activities that your child can do to practice his or her spelling words. Three of these need to be completed and have your initials on the corresponding square by Friday when the sheet is sent back to school and we have our spelling tests. The activities are not difficult, but some require parental help. For instance, one of the fun activities is having your child write the spelling words out on your back!

Upcoming Tests and Quizzes

We will be writing upcoming tests and quizzes for the week and the following Monday on the corresponding day in the agendas. I will also try my best to post them on the blog before the beginning of the week.

Grade 3

  • Monday – Language Arts Quiz 1
  • Thursday – Oral Bible Quiz – Memorize Ephesians 4:29
  • Friday – Spelling Test

Grade 4

  • Tuesday – Language Arts Quiz 1
  • Wednesday – Math Quiz 1
  • Thursday – Oral Bible Quiz – Memorize Ephesians 4:29
  • Friday – Spelling Test

Milk Order

As it turns out, the price of chocolate milk did go up to $0.70 but white milk is still $0.45. If you wish your child to participate in the milk program next week, please send the money in your child’s agenda on Friday.

I think that’s it for now. God bless!
