GCS Grades 3 and 4

The Adventures of Mrs. Bouter's Class

A Brand New Beginning

on August 28, 2013

Hello parents and followers of this blog!

I am very excited to introduce myself. My name is Miss Misty Robbins and I am the new teacher of the students in the Grade 3 and 4 class at Grace Christian School this year. I am ecstatic that the LORD has blessed me with the opportunity to encourage, enable and inspire your children to grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically and socially, all to His glory. I look forward to seeing them develop into the best people they can be!

What does this coming year look like, you ask? Well, here’s a little sneak peek at some of the exciting things we’re going to be doing in Grade 3 and 4:

Wake, Shake & Celebrate! – Our morning routine will get the ball rolling with some movement exercises, followed by reasons why we can celebrate today! Students can take this time to share good news, reasons to be thankful, kind words about their fellow students and maybe even funny stories. There is a lot to celebrate!

Growing with God – Along with being the name of our Bible Curriculum for the year, this will also be our class theme. We’re going to be learning lots about growing as literacy lovers, math minds and world adventurers. Most importantly, we’ll be exploring what it means to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 3:18).

Brain Breaks – Did you ever have a time when you found your body tired from sitting too long and your mind fuzzy with fatigue? Well, guaranteed in Grade 3 and 4 we will take much needed breaks to energize our bodies and refocus our minds with short movement activities.

I’m looking forward to the first day of school! I hope you are too. 🙂

Miss Robbins
