As a part of our creative writing, our class has been working on a procedural writing piece. The final copy of this is due on Wednesday, January 22nd. I encouraged the students to take their rough drafts home tonight to work on, as some students have not been very productive during our class times. Thank you for your support in helping your children get these done for Wednesday.
Also, I have invited the students to bring in games/toys from home that they can share with other students during our indoor recesses. As the forecast is calling for extremely cold temperatures, it is unlikely that we will be outdoors for much of this week.
Grade four students will begin a cereal box book report tomorrow on their novel Saved at Sea. As mentioned, these will be due next Monday, January 28th. They will need a cereal box that is wrapped in plain paper to be decorated. (Wrapping paper turned inside out, perhaps…) The best sized box would be a larger Honeycombs, Bran Flakes, or Bulk Cheerios box, as I have created the templates they will use. They will need this no later than Friday.
