Welcome back in 2013! I hope you enjoyed our two weeks of holidays. I want to thank you for your kindness and generosity to me as expressed through your notes and gifts. Such a blessing!
This is a wonderful time to check with your children regarding their stock of school supplies, winter wear, and footwear. Many children are low on pencils and erasers, and will need these replenished as we get back into our work. I will make notes in agendas if there are any immediate needs for your child. Also, our class loves to use Kleenex, and we are completely out of our inital supply of boxes. I would greatly appreciate a replacement box to be sent in some time this week. Thank you to those of you who have already done so.
As we head back into the routines of school, please keep in mind that agendas will need to be signed on a nightly basis starting immediately. Any reading homework that is assigned needs to be read alone by the student first, and then read aloud to an older sibling or adult. Beginning this week, both grades will begin reading books for our January book reports.
Please review our class newsletter for the week. January 7 Newsletter I have also included a link to our next selection of Bible Verses for the month of January. Feel free to print a copy of this for your home. John14
