Looking ahead to the week:
Our class has settled in to our routines very well. Thank you for your cooperation in reading and signing agendas on a nightly basis.
Each month we will learn a new set of Bible verses together. This month’s selection is found in Ephesians 4:1-6. (ESV). Every week, at least once a week, the students will have a reminder to study these verses at home. I have posted a copy of them here for your convenience. The verses will be said in class during the last week of September for our first Bible Memory grade. Thank you for taking the time to review these with your children. We learn them with “motions” to aid the memory, so encourage them to use them at home.
Here is our class schedule for the week. Feel free to print this at home:
Finally, passwords for the Mathletics website have been sent home in agendas. For returning students, these should be the same as last year. I would encourage you to have a look at this with your children. As a teacher, I look for excellent resources that you can use at home to foster a love of learning, and this is a wonderful tool. Our school pays for each student to have an account, so I enthusiastically recommend that your children use it! As a class, we go to the computer lab twice a week, but the more the children use it, the more it benefits them. As a parent, I am thrilled to have a safe, password protected, simple program that I can allow my children to use without the worry of advertisements and unwanted solicitation from other websites.
Have a great week!
