It’s the first week of May already! Hold on to your hats…the end of the year comes very quickly now.
JAMMIES FOR JAMAICA:
Miss Doyle’s class is hosting a pajama day on Thursday, May 3rd. All proceeds will go directly to the Grade 10-12 Jamaica missions trip. If you’d like to participate, all you need to do is crawl out of bed, grab a toonie, and show up at school (with your agenda signed, of course).
MUSIC FESTIVAL NEWS:
Knight Lights will have a rehearsal from 3-4 on Tuesday in the sanctuary. There will be no rehearsal on Thursday of this week.
Tomorrow evening, May 1st, at 6:30 pm, Grace Baptist Church Sanctuary, our students will be performing in the Queens County Music Festival. All students in grades 3-6 are expected to be here by no later than 5:50 pm. Those who are playing in the Knight Lights should wear the t-shirt and jeans. All other students need to be dressed in chapel clothing. Of course, it will be important that students remember to bring their recorders! Please note that this is a festival event, and the cost is $2.00 at the door (children under 12 are free).
SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK:
Monday: Library books due today
Tuesday: Grade 4 Language Quiz (distinguishing adjectives from adverbs)
Thursday: Grades 3&4 Math Tests, Spelling Test List 27, Penmanship Test
Friday: NO SCHOOL, Professional Development day for teachers
That’s all for now. Enjoy the sunshine this week!
